There was about 30 hunters there, folks from Delta Ducks and United Water Fowlers. They were trying to figure out what needed to be done to the draw process for everyone to be able to get drawn for Ocklawaha Prairie and stop a possible hoarding and no show issues.

They pretty much requested the FWC go back to they way they did it first. Let SJRWMD charge a fee to get in the drawing (Used to be $25) and see if the issues didn't go away. They agreed they liked it the way it was and didn't see any problems until last year when they dropped the fee and everyone got as many permits as they could and left quite a few locals high and dry.

The FWC is going to take their suggestions into consideration and talk to SJRWMD and see what can be done for the hunters.

Another issue they raised but was not part of the agenda was 10hp or less on the SGA. They claimed it is not enough power to get through the vegitation and be able to get where the ducks are. Don Coyner promised to see what they could do about getting that changed.
