Youth Dove Hunting Opportunity October 17, 2009

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission along with Santa Fe Hills Plantation will be hosting a youth dove hunt in Brooker, Florida on October 17, 2009. This opportunity is made available through the FWC Youth Hunting Program of Florida and their participating landowner partner.

The Youth Hunting Program of Florida was established to increase the number of youth involved in educational, safe, mentored wildlife and hunting activities through the opportunity to participate in our hunting heritage. Some of the goals include:
�X Preserve the hunting heritage in Florida for present and future generations
�X Promote the highest ethical standards in hunting
�X Provide an initial, positive, safe, educational mentored hunting experience
�X Teach the basic skills, values, techniques and responsibilities of hunting
�X Instill in youth a basic understanding of practical conservation measures
�X Encourage wildlife habitat access, enhancement and management
To participate in this Youth Dove Hunt on October 17, 2009 with The Youth Hunting Program you must:
�X Be 12 to 17 years old.
�X Complete and submit the Youth Hunting Program of Florida Application.
�X Have Completed the Florida Hunter Safety Program, regardless of age
�X Be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
�X Complete the Youth Hunting Program release forms sent to you.
�X Submit a $10 refundable deposit to secure your position on the dove hunt
