If Hunters can't take the time to discuss where Florida and hunting is going today on an open forum, how can we expect them to govern themselves in the field?

Many hunters are going to be very upset in the coming years, myself included! That is unless the FWC works diligently with the Stakeholders in an honest manner...

My first observation is if the FWC has no IDEA on how many Bucks are in a certain Area, how could they know they're being over harvested?

It wasn't long ago when we were asked HOW to get more hunters into the woods and BUY licenses, will limiting the taking of bucks do this or shortening the season HELP? I don't like what I'm seeing here, nor do I think that the FWC is going to help fix the problem, what ever that may be!

Logic would dictate that a Deer count is in order, Then and only then can you LOGICALLY put any restrictions in place! If the FWC isn't willing to do this then Hunters and the Deer themself are just Pawns in the political arena!

I know that the UHF and Many other Organizations are working very hard to come to some understanding as to what needs to be done here, the FWC holds the ACE though, and if what the Stakeholders are asking for can't be produced then it's Up the creek without a paddle!

These are my thoughts as I watch this play out, I hope all Hunters will join in dicussing these and other issues pertaining to DEER HUNTING in general, not just a select few, the UHF has given an open forum, a Website in hopes of gathering hunters ideas and issues, Yet we're not getting across to enough or maybe they don't care enough to partisapate, either way Jim is Correct, Change is coming for better or Worse it's Our choice!
