Jep moved effortlessly as Lessa guided him, keeping his head down, nose tucked in. Each stride was smooth as honey as she directed him into serpentines, and finally into a halt before his handler. Snorting softly, Jep stood still, muscles quivering while Lessa dismounted. As soon as her feet hit the dirt, he tossed his head and shifted. Though this time, the dancing wasn't nearly as out of controll.

The man glanced toward Sheeza Promise, the mare that Lessa was interested in. Let me talk to her handler for a second... will you be okay with Jep? Before she could even respond, he strode quickly over to Promise and her handler. the two men kept their head bents together, talking for a few minutes before Jep's handler returned. Mac was watching you handle Jep... He likes the way you controlled him... he said he'd be willing to give you to her for twenty grand... and Jep is seventy-five... ALl this was said in a rush, afraid lessa would change her mind if he didn't hurry.
