|X| Damn it all, Jemma thought as she kept on walking, Every freakin' animal here costs thousands! Fifteen, jobless, and orphaned, Jemma was lucky to come up with a hundred bucks. She cluched the money in her pocket as she thought about it. All she wanted, was a friend...an animal friend...They did more good for her than her own kind.
Suddenly, she spotted it. Three border collies in cages, and no sign. But maybe, She thought, Maybe there just isn't but they still cost alot! Jemma watched from afar, behind a tree, arguing with herself to go see if she could get one. Her cousin raised border collies, so she knew a thing or two about them.
Finally, she swallowed her shy temperment and somehow approached the man. She tried to keep from gapping, as she was surprised how fast she got to him. "Uh, excuse me," She said with a soft smile, pulling a strand of red hair behind her ear. "Are you..." She pointed at the dogs. "Giving them away?" |X|
