He took the check from her, pocketing it for the time being. "I don't doubt that he will, ma'am. If you'll hold on for a moment, I've got some things for you."

Nodding to her, he walked back to the truck and opened the cab door. He shuffled through some things, and then returned with a collar, a leash, and a manilla folder. He offered all three items to her.

"The folder's got his vet information, his registration, and his history and breeding information."

Still watching the two humans speak to one another, Matinee's attention strayed to see the leash. Immediately he stood up, tail wagging a little bit faster.
