Date Posted: 11:32:26 07/26/06 Wed In reply to: Kisha & Sero 's message, "XxX..w.hen o.ne l.ife e.nds....a.nother b.egins..XxX" on 23:29:45 07/25/06 Tue She could still hear the whining from the pup, and the mother's movements rustled the bush that they were hiding in and caused Fal's attention to settle there for certain. Was the poor thing caught in the bush, or perhaps too frightened to try and come out? If it was frightened, then it could very easily sprint off or even bite. She knew bettern than to corner an animal, no matter how tame they may appear. As the wolf cub emerges, Falconair is a little shocked. She'd worked with wolves for a little under a year in a Canadian reserve, and it was easy to tell that even if the youngster wasn't a full lupine, he surely was no house pet. His increased cries tipped off that he probably wasn't alone - just in time to register that the emerging wolf had to be his parent. She didn't touch the pup from her crouch, simply allowing him to dart off towards his mother. As Sero came tumbling out of the bush, Ajax looked on with a small smile. Trust Fal to find an animal in a bush. But that smile slipped into something that was a fair shade more fearful when the larger, adult wolf came crashing out - all teeth for what concerned him. He took a few steps away from her, almost tripping over his own two feet. "Uh, Fal?" Loki hadn't needed to open his mouth to say anything; it would be a little hard to miss the large female that was obviously now stuck to the bush she had come from. She decided against standing up, not wanting to make herself look big and intimidating to the frightened pair. She could see the female was injured, favoring a leg. Reason told her to leave the mother and her pup alone, hoping that they'd find their way back to the mountains and another pack. But she knew, between the injury and being trapped, that it would be cruel to leave them there. "Shhh, it's alright girl. I'm not going to hurt you." She spoke more for her own benefit and Loki's than the pair of lupine's, though she hoped that they could feel the calm in her voice. She motioned for Ajax to step farther away, and her friend took little time to oblige that request. "Those... that isn't a dog, is it?" Falconair shook her head to Ajax's question, smiling slightly. Wolves this close to human territory. It was nice to see the majestic creatures again, but not here where they were in danger of being hurt and certainly not when one was injured.
