Date Posted: 15:36:55 07/30/06 Sun In reply to: Josh 's message, "Spots & Sterling" on 13:49:38 07/30/06 Sun The woman rose from her chair and approached the man, her line face tired looking. She offers a slow smile, and glances toward the mare and stallion. Sterling was standing fairly close to the fence, away from the other mares, watching the two humans with interest. The woman leaned over hte fense and scratched Sterling's neck, her smile widening when the mare leaned into the touch. Well, Sterling is a real sweetheart. She's real friendly to everyone she meets, and loves to work. She straightens, and turns her attention to the male. She's been trained in harness, and has done fairly well in the shows she's done. She'd rather be out on a trail though, or grazing in teh front yard with her handler. The old woman's gaze shifts to the black and white leopard appaloossa stallion. She smiles as the stud turns his attention to one of his corral mates, and nips playfully at the other's haunches. A squeel was emmited, and Spot took off, cantering around the perimeter of his enclosure, kicking up his heels in good spirits. And Spots over there is a real jokester. He's a lot like Sterling in the fact that he would rather be hanging out with his handler than grazing. Although you've got to watch him, he's the type that will steal your hat off your head and race away with it, convinced that it's just a good game of 'catch me if you can.' He's still pretty young, and has a lot of the colt left in him, but he was started under saddle not too long ago, and is coming along nicely. He hasn't been started in harness yet. Sterling wickers as her owner turned to speak with the unfamilar man. Auds perked, listening to the comforting sound of her owner's voice. When no more pettings seemed to be forth coming, Sterling slipped her finely chiselled dial through the fence rails and nipped at Josh's pant legs, hoping to entice a few strokes from him.
