Taking the treat with a gentlemanly care though his insides were aflutter with excitement for having recieved such a gift, the gelding crunched the carrot down happily with a appreciative nod of his head, completely clueless that he had just been passed to a new owner.

With a grunt of regret for not having upped the price since the buyer was so willingly to pay, the boy took the check and shoved it into his pocket. A step back to the fence and he lifted the ratty old halter, far older than the gelding at the fence, from where it hung, offering it to the woman. "This goes with him, if you need it. This too..." He drew an envelope from his back pocket, handing it over. "His papers and vet records."
