No, whatever people might choose to call him -perhaps eccentric, perhaps a loner, perhaps with a streak of naivete, a dreamer- a liar and a cheat did not generally make the list. $500 for stallion and delivery, no more, no less. And include him in the crowd not over-eager to approach the stallion! No, preferably, he would like to finish out the day without a trip to the emergency room to have his head re-attached to his body, thankyouverymuch! Get the stallion in a quieter environment without ropes and pebbles to feed the fear, THEN attempt to begin the healing process! Giving a curt nod to the old man's reply, he gave his latest purchase one last sympathetic glance, beneath the cold exterior hoping the stallion sensed a change for the better in his fortunes, he turned his back on the trio of men and strode off to his truck to meet them on his home property.
