A pair of bright puppy eyes lifted to the sudden shadow that fell over him and his ears perked forward as a pair of hands descended down on him. Take him away? Take him away! Yay! A squirming ball of fluff in her hands, the pup whipped his tail a million miles an hour, delicate pink tongue flicking out to give happy puppy kisses. So what if he had never met the stranger before? A human was a friend and a friend he could use.
