He smirked, disliking the idea that someone else thought they could handle his horse better than he. "If you say so, Mis' Rayana." He grabbed the leadrope that hung from an old nail outside the shed and went in to bring the stud out for her. "I'll take $400 for him, no less." He clipped the lead onto the stud's halter, pushed the door open wider and walked calmly out until he was pulled back slightly. Tim, the stud, was anchored firmly in place. "Come on you little sonofabitch," he grumbled under his breath. He tugged on the rope, but the 1200(?) pound horse refused to budge. The man only pulled harder, and Tim gave in, only to halt midway through the door. The handler pulled the rope and walked until he was directly in front of the stud, and began tugging at the halter. The horse snorted, taking a step forward, only to have planted itself upon the man's foot. The handler doubled over and pounded at his horse's leg, yelling a stream of curses escape. The stud snorted again before lifting his foot, and with the leadrope release from the handler's hand he walked calmly towards Rayana and halted behind her, lowering his head to grab a few blades of grass.
