Phimosis can cause inflammation in the foreskin and at the penile head, caused by gathering of smegma and substances from the urine, and subsequent growth of bacteria, but it does not occur in every case. The narrow foreskin can make sex and ejaculation cumbersome. In some boys the foreskin just does not widen, so it remains very narrow, and then you usually get the elastic type of phimosis. Other boys or men get infections or inflammations in the foreskin that produce scars and constrictions that make it difficult to pull it down, so you get the rigid type of phimosis. The infections are usually due to bad hygiene. The best way of preventing phimosis due to infections and scarring is daily to pull back very gently the foreskin as far as it gets without resistance, wash it well with some mild soap, and then flush it well. The parents should do this on yong boys, while older boys, teens and adults should do this by themselves. One should never try to force the foreskin down, however. Some doctors warn against using any kind of soap and recommend pure water. There are great cultural differences regarding treatment of phimosis between the regions of the World. At some places traditional treatment for phimosis has been circumcision. It has however been shown that phimosis can be cured in most instances without surgery, especially the elastic type: In boys before puberty, the simplest treatment is daily flushing with clean water under the foreskin to take away impurities, while waiting for the condition to resolve by itself. Complications or special susceptibility for infection, like in diabetic boys, can make more specific treatment necessary at an early age. Some boys may also feel it to be more comfortable after treatment. Damn likable however much you want to loath him. He never got a chance to grow up and be a child, and it shows. He can swing from very immature and pouty to far, far too old for his apperant years. He's firey temepered but will sometimes do as he's told- but never without whining. He never complains about big things, however- just little things, and hardly ever serousely. If something's important, he'll do what he's told without a word. Most can tell that his arrogent, rude facade is just that- a facade. A tidbit from Dias Flac (the person, not the character), his fighting style of unsheathing and resheathing swords is similar to the Japanese style of iai-jutsu. (Citan from Xenogears has this same style, too, where its a bit more obvious.) A master swordsman, his fighting skills are supposedly unmatched. At least, that's what the game says. A lot of people put him in a tie with Ashton for second-best fighter, but I say Ashton wins hands down. Dias's main problem is his lack of multi-hit killer moves. Still, earlier in the game, he is almost the Orlandu of SO2. You can only recruit Dias in Rena's scenario. Dias's attack is quick and recovery time fairly good. Again, pump up his combat skills. Dias's weakness lies in Item Creation. He rarely starts out with any good Talents, and strikes me as a "brawn-no-brains" type of guy. [Also note that there are NO one-time PAs with Dias, so any Emotional Level changes will have to be through battles, which is annoying.] My nitpicky commentary on voice: I was surprised the first time I heard him... his voice is so deep compared to Claude's, it's scary. His voice has just the right touch of arrogance associated with Dias, so I guess it's okay. Battle Strategy: Dias is an okay character. While not as good as Claude or Ashton he does make an effective fighter, at least more so than Bowman or Ernest. You can only recruit him in Rena's scenario, but you might as well (I'd rather take Leon). [I thought his best move was Crescent Moon Slash once you get it leveled up, which is pretty easy. Chaos Sword MP: 5 Proficiency: 120 At short range, creates an energy field which Dias throws at the enemy. At longer range, it becomes a wave. Okay move, doesn't do that great damage (only about the same as a normal attack) and doesn't have range on its side like Air Slash does. However, does gain proficiency. It can hit twice at higher levels. Cross Wave MP: 8 Proficiency: 120 Pretty much similar to Twin Slash, with the same caveats. Dias's gets his right from the start, though, so it's just slightly more useful than Claude's technique. Crescent Wave MP: 10 Proficiency: 130 Creates a wave of energy shaped like a crescent that spreads out in front of Dias. Can hit airborne enemies. This technique saved my life when I fought the Synard, cause Dias didn't have to jump straight into the Synard's breath to perform this. Gale Stab MP: 10 Level: 40 Proficiency: 130 Dias runs up to the enemy, then charges forward impaling them. Respectable damage, but he does spend a lot of time running up to get to the proper distance from the enemy. On the whole, not that useful. Crescent Moon Flash MP: 13 Level: 48 Proficiency: 100 Sort of like a more powerful Crescent Wave. Also, doesn't cost that much more MP, and is rather easy to level up. Doesn't go up as much, though, so it tends to miss flying enemies. Execution time is a bit longer however. Hawk Scream Blast MP: 16 Level: 56 Proficiency: 100 Dias creates a phoenix from his sword which travels along the ground to hit the enemy. It travels pretty fast so the enemy has little chance to dodge. It can hit more than once if you're close enough. Full Moon Slash MP: 25 Level: 63 Proficiency: 100 Dias holds his sword above his head and does something which somehow damages the enemy. Fairly useless as the technique is pulled off way too slow. Apparently higher proficiency means a faster execution time though. Illusion MP: 21 Level: 70 Proficiency: 420 The closest thing to a multi-hit technique Dias has. Hits a max of four times, and that's once you get it powered up. Still, probably Dias's best move. Use it in the same vein as Mirror Slice or Sword Dance. Firebird Shock Wave MP: 30 Level: 78 Proficiency: 200 Dias jumps in the air and transforms into a firebird, swooping down to burn the enemy. Will hit more than once provided you're not too close and you don't hit the enemy away from you. I think Dias is invincible in firebird form, but I'm not sure, as he's not in it very long. |

You see, Duke likes Duel Monsters, but his real love is dice. So he decided to develop a way to combine those ideas into a new game. He spent a long time developing every aspect of the game, using concepts from dice-based RPGs and from Duel Monsters. Eventually, he had it all together: Dungeon Dice Monsters. He decided to submit his game idea to Industrial Illusions to see if they would distribute the game. Pegasus himself invited Devlin to Duelist Kingdom to try the game out. Pegasus used the Millennium Eye to cheat and win the game, but he complimented Devlin on such a fascinating concept. He said he'd begin work on the game soon, but he a had a tournament about to begin on the island. He would see to the game after the tournament. Devlin left the island with a marked respect for the man. Yugi then beat Pegasus at the end of the tournament, and ever since then, Pegasus has been out of the picture (Devlin doesn't know the real reason for Pegasus' incapacitation: his encounter with Yami Bakura and the theft of the Millennium Eye). Devlin was mad. To him, Yugi had robbed Devlin of his chance, and he couldn't believe that Yugi could beat Pegasus at the game that Pegasus had created himself. Thus, when he beat Joey and Yugi attempted to challenge to save Joey's face, Devlin set the challenge: a duel with Dungeon Dice Monsters...and if Yugi lost, he'd never duel again. It was then Yugi managed to beat Devlin (at the game that he created) that Devlin realized finally that Yugi was the genuine article: the King of Games. His spirits received a boost, however, when a e-mail came from Industrial Illusions. It was the contract for the Dungeon Dice Monsters game. With that, he was able to make up with Yugi and the gang. Duke Devlin re-appears on the scene in Battle City, first by coming to Tristan and Serenity's aid. This would turn out, however, to be the beginning of a rivalry...because both he and Tristan are developing a crush on Serenity! |

Date Posted: 21:55:11 02/04/04 Wed time will erode the shame and the fault, it's easier to let you go as the sun was begining to set the sound of a vehicle's engine was heard far in the distance. the sound began to grow louder and finally the headlights of a black F-250 were seen coming down the paved road. the truck slowed and pulled into the apartment parking lot. after a few minutes the engine died a both the passenger and driver's doors opened and two people stepped out. as the passenger stepped into the light of a lamp that light the parkinglot you could see that the figure was that of a woman. her hair reached down past her shoulders, it was pitch black with the exception of the tips dyed red. black baggy cargo pants dragged the ground a bit but she didn't seem to mind. a black jacket parcially hid her red tank top that she wore beneath it. a black duffle bag was being held in her right hand. a moment later the figure of a male entered the light. dressed in a pair of loose fitting blue jeans and a black t-shirt, with a Rottweiler on the front he didn't seem to mind the night's chill in the least. he handed a blue duffle bag to the girl before he went around to the back of the truck and let down the tailgate. he clipped a leash that he had left in the back of the truck to the collar of the Rottweiler. the dog jumped from the bed of the truck and followed Shay to go stand beside of Jinx,waiting patiently while the two spoke.  was originally dubbed: Holly Trenton now cursed as: Jinx has survived for: 17 years linage is that of a: shapeshifter proud to be a: female attracted to: males stands at: 5 feet 6 inches weighs about: 114 pounds hair is colored: black - sometimes is streaked with different colors. eyes are: brown appears to be: asian/american acts towards others: is very straight forward and the kind of person who doesn't take any crap from other people. if she doesn't like you, you will know it. is acually a pretty nice person once you work through a couple things. doesn't always trust easily due to her... 'gift' and her past. past: has never known her parents, she was abandoned in a alley and a woman heard her cries and came to see what the noise was coming from. she was then taken to an adoption center and adopted by a couple who seemed nice enough. they were nice until the man began to drink and the woman began to take it out on Jinx. then the day came when they found out that Jinx wasn't what she seemed and the woman was so embarrassed by this she began to take it out of Jinx. blaming everything on her the woman started calling Jinx by the name Jinx, believing that she was purposly causing her life to be horrible and so on. the man was always so drunk he never knew what was going on or was too busy beating the woman, something the woman always somehow blamed Jinx for.
