Jason picked up the phone while he was typing, “Talk to me.”
“Jason,” Davenport spoke and Jason pulled his hands away. “Hey… how is London? Did it stop raining? Did you see the Fanning dude?”
“Can you get into street cameras that were around that location?” Davenport inquired firmly as he was cleared by Jason. Jason started to move to another computer and started to type. “I hacked into them when I was trying to figure out what was going on with that Fanning dude… I never saw him.”
“You won’t see him,” Davenport reported. “He is on death’s door. I guess the isotope was diluted enough that it slowed down the process of eating away at him. The doctors have no idea what is killing him, but he’ll be on a respirator finally in the next couple days.”
“But it was him?” Jason inquired and Davenport groaned. “Get the cameras.”
“What’s so important that I get a view into the cameras? Is that Lisa Fanning around?” Jason worked as he was pulling up the cameras. “I guess you want me to go to archived images of the cameras.”
“You are catching on,” Davenport retorted. “And it isn’t Lisa. Lisa isn’t even in Fannings’ file so she is non-factor.”
“Then what am I looking for?”
“Who,” Davenport corrected and Jason slapped his hands down onto the keyboard. “You could make this easier, Davenport.”
“I want to see if you can spot the person… across the street from the home… on a bench,” Davenport directed as he was being carefully. He had thought he had seen a lot of people during this trip and every single one had been a false thought. Davenport didn’t want to be jumping to a conclusion unless Jason could confirm.
Jason started to scroll back and he saw Davenport in the frame. He then slowed down the images and leaned in as he saw the man come into frame. “No…”
“You see him,” Davenport spoke and Jason stopped the frame and zoomed in. Jason leaned back and clapped his hands together. “We’ve been looking for him everywhere! And he is following you in London?”
“Mick,” Davenport declared firmly and Jason smiled. “Yeah… he doesn’t look good with trying to grow his hair in… but that is Mick Schtoppel… I’m running facial recognition to confirm… but I know that man.”
“What am I to do now, Jason?” Davenport questioned. “I was about to turn around and come home. But if Mick is in London…”
“You mean that you aren’t on the street right now?” Jason inquired as he shook his head. “You should have followed him.”
“He was following me, Jason,” Davenport hissed as he cleared his throat. “I’ll go back… circling back while he realizes that he lost me… maybe I can find him.”
“Talk to him,” Jason spoke and Davenport chuckled. “Ah… if he doesn’t run.”
“Why would he run?”
“Section,” Davenport reported and then hung up. Jason took a screenshot of the image and sent it to Michael, Nikita and Walter’s email addresses. They finally had a lead on Mick and maybe shortly he would be able to call them and say that Davenport has contact with him.
That would be wonderful news.
