Walter didn’t knock at the partially closed door to Michael’s lab. He entered and looked around. “What are you working on?”

“Some open cases,” Michael replied as he stopped typing and then sighed. “I know that you want to talk about Nikita.”

“Is she still not talking again?” Walter asked gently and Michael nodded his head.

It had been six days since Adam’s stunt had been pulled. That conversation that Michael and with Nikita afterwards was the last time Nikita talked and she had been pulling further away from everyone since then. Michael didn’t even get information on what Nikita meant by saying that she had another house.

All Michael knew that it probably wasn’t in this area – Jason did an immediate search and only came up with houses that were by other real people who happened to have the same name as one of Nikita’s alisis. Michael didn’t even think that it was effective using those names – Nikita probably wouldn’t have done that.

“Walter, the damage has been done… Adam pushed too hard… and now we have to wait,” Michael picked up some papers that held the notes on the case that he was working on. He organized them and placed them in the folder before turning and seeing Walter glaring at him. “I can’t make her talk, Walter.”

“And waiting for her to decide to do that might be a mistake,” Walter announced. Michael rubbed his head. “You can join my list of problems, Walter. Tom wants me meet with me because Nikita isn’t talking and he wants to talk about her cover… Lieutenant McCarty is my contactor most of the cases with the police department and because of what we had to do with Tom for Nikita’s sake, he isn’t talking to me… I found out that Sister Rhoda has left the sisterhood and some sister named Camilla keeps on calling me about changing Rhoda back…”

“I want to help,” Walter rubbed his hands together. “That’s all I have ever wanted to do… all of this time… before…”

“Find me more information out about the missions that were run from when I left and before Section started to close down,” Michael answered, but he didn’t think that there would be any information in those missions. Then Michael rubbed his head. “Find out which operative Nikita had tag Mick Schtoppel as a training exercise before the baby was born… get me all the information on that operative.”

“Michael, the Section One databases don’t exist…”

“Come on, Walter,” Michael rolled his eyes as he shook his head. “You know that Jason has the information.”

“And we don’t know if it is all of the information… Nikita could have censored large amounts of it…” Walter pointed out and Michael shrugged his shoulders slightly. “We won’t know until someone tries to find what Nikita hid.”

“And Jason is busy…” Walter added and Michael tilted his head. “What?”

“He has been trying to break into the system at the condo… you know, Sugar did a huge protective job on that… Jason has been scratching his head as he hasn’t been able to get into much of her computer system… There are probably records in there that would help the police in all of the cases that the Angel did.”

“And maybe it ties back to Nikita. I don’t think that is what Tom wants to happen,” Michael retorted and Walter sighed. “All I’m saying…”

“You aren’t good on a computer?” Michael quipped before Walter could continue. Walter sighed and looked to the floor. “Let me talk to Nikita.”

“She went shopping for groceries,” Michael answered and Walter nodded his head. “I know… Davenport has put me in the loop with his men…”

“You can talk to her,” Michael shrugged his shoulders. “Just… don’t push her, please.”

“I’m not your son,” Walter snapped and Michael chuckled. “Thank goodness for that!”

“Michael Samuelle…”

“Michael Pomeroy,” Michael corrected and Walter exhaled. “I don’t like that name.”

“Sorry,” Michael shrugged his shoulders. “And serious, Walter… keep it simple with Nikita… please.”

“Maybe I’ll get her out of the house some more… maybe she’ll do dinner and a movie,” Walter suggested and Michael narrowed his eyes. “A date?”

“You aren’t seeing her… you aren’t married to her,” Walter lightly shrugged his shoulders, but Michael knew that Walter wasn’t saying this to be rude or to be funny. He was pointing out a fact that he liked to equate to another reason why Nikita wasn’t talking. Michael had pointed out to Walter several times over the past several days that he did care about Nikita but he wanted her to be out of this, because she would find it appalling if Michael started to do activities like dating her when she wasn’t herself.

And Nikita was absolutely not herself.

“When is Adam getting his cell phone back?” Walter asked and Michael turned back to the desk. “When I am ready to give it back to him.”

“He was only trying to help…”

“And I know that,” Michael looked up at the computer screen and exhaled. “He knows what he needs to do to get it back.”

“Go to a store and buy a prepaid one?” Walter quipped but there was something about Walter’s tone that said more. Michael turned and looked at Walter. Walter nodded his head. “I saw it yesterday.”

“Damn,” Michael muttered as he shook his head. Adam had never been a handful like this but then it probably did make sense. Until Walter contacted them, Adam had Michael’s full attention. Now Michael was split into multiple different directions.

This was not good timing for Adam to start teenage rebellion.
