My problem was in the behavior that the directors allowed to happen at state with the judges and some staff. Drinking and inappropriate dress is not a good thing in any system. I will not support this system and these directors any longer and I hope that all the other parents and grandparents that witnessed this inappropriate behavior will not either. It is a shame because I do really support the system as a whole but NC has gotten WAY out of control.

Sure, for a prelim, throw away $75 , your child will get a crown, a sash and a trophy. But, make no mistake on spending money on the State pageant. This year has proven to be a disaster. They will do anything to talk you into bringing your child, and want you to feel that "Cinderella magic". Some people are blind to the truth, while others are not afraid to speak the truth.
