My daughter is 12, and begging me to do pageants again... She has not done anything since she was 5... I do not know where to begin or anything... I am also not wanting to invest a bunch of money on a dress etc. until I know she is really interested... Any ideas on renting a dress? or where to begin /pageants? Thank you..

Do you want to do natural, semi glitz or glitz?
[> Subject: I would try Queens of NC. Its a low cost pageant that offers natural or semi-glitz. Easier to get into and no expensive clothes required.

nc dream angels is a total joke ! you have to drink and hang out with the director or be a best friend of one of the two to win! its a total waste of money! and pretty much a joke of a pageant system! total scam artist!

It's amazing that you are aware there are two directors when one was unable to be there. FOR THE RECORD...three of the girls competing are a part of the STATE court so of course they know the directors and have become friends. I am confused as to why it makes a difference if a director drinks on her time off? Or do you just have a problem with anyone that drinks. We are all adults and it is perfectly legal to have a drink when we are not working.
And FYI my daughter DID NOT WIN on saturday and I feel it was a nice pageant and the director that I met was as sweet as can be!

The state court is competing because the numbers are too low and nobody else will compete in that joke of a pageant system!

It's sad that all you lady's have to do is sit on your asses ad bash people because you are jealous. most of us come to find out about other systems. obviously this is not the place to do it as all you are is bitter. And by the way the system is in honor of the director's daughter who died at three. So I hope you all are proud of yourselves for attempting to ruin something that was started to remember a beautiful little girl.

until you have lost a child I wouldn't suggest commenting on how a person grieves. you are probably lucky enough to have your children. it's incredibly sad to attack someone who you don't know that lost theirs. get a life. and a heart!

prove that it was at the pageant and around children. can't can ya?

Brandy needs to think twice before letting her system loose in the hands of an amature, who is even posting heer that she is still too tramatized by her recent loss to stay sober on the job.

they allowed them to compete due to low numbers. i didn't say buddies I said friendly. all you are is a bitter person who is upset that your child didn't when you paid for someones opinion of your child and you didn't like. and fyi had you asked they would have allowed you to see the master scoresheet. unless you are just a jealous pageant director.

exactly. low numbers.. people are on to the games! do you think numbers will ever rise when the state court is allowed to compete in prelims. shows exactly how much they value the state court. but i guess that doesnt even matter when it is just friends and family anyways. if you want to win just grab a cold one together
[> [> Subject: Nicole lost her daughter many years ago. So, I doubt that is why she's drinking. The issue is the pictures were put on Facebook for all of her queens and parents to see, I'm sorry but that is very unperfessional! I do not give a crap what the reason was..

Lets just sum up this pageant system for you!
The director sucks,
she drinks and post her pictures on facebook for the world to see, her older queens get to see what a great example she is,
a pageant director should NEVER be best friends with a queen, especially when that queen didnt really deserve to win like she did,
state queens should never be allowed to compete in the prelims the following year (and they wonder why the numbers are so low),
a director should never be involved with a pageant by making clothes for the contestants that are entered in that particular pageant,
This has nothing to do with who the pageant was created in honor of, lets be real, its a money thing.

While everyone else is using your question to bash systems and directors, I thought I would actually answer your question. My daughter is also 12 and we have only been doing pageants for a little over a year.
Natural Elite is a great semi glitz system. They also do Natural Beauties which is their natural system.
We have also do a few CrownBound and it is pretty good. Breathtaking beauties is good for beginners but usually have low numbers.

Carolina's True Beauties is a natural pageant system that is beginner friendly.
