Subject: a tale of two titans

I was chatting with my friend Slurp today, you know, that kinda friendly chatter that comes naturally between two old war buddies. The kind of chatter that is the sum of many years of fighting evil, rescuing small tracts of land that will eventually succumb to the tidal currents and their inhabitants, and the general "lets go out for coffee" kinda of chatter.
Yes, so there we were, on the phone when the topic of world cup soccer comes up. I was explaining to slurp the finer points of "the beautiful game" when we, in our usual manner, got into an argument about who to back when the gong got tough. To put it into terms our dear readers here on the hossin' will understand, I shall compare the teams to food.
In this world cup, as in any, I am backing baklava, and slurp, getting my back, is backing them too. But, enter the masala. Now, if my baklava goes down I will back the masala, but slurp, picks masala all the way! To his credit he would pick baklava over the most loved natchos, and we would both pick the masala over the natchos, but he doesnt not support baklava all the way. Thats ok by me. I guess we all got to support out favorite food, so I guess its comes to this for slurp. Its masala first, then baklava. When I'm the opposite...hmm..guess thats fair..but if baklava doesnt satisfy, or masala, I'm takin the natchos!
