I think you got many things wrong in your diatribe. The only thing I remember you doing was saying "Do you need a ride or a boost?"
Then there was what actually happened:
-Fade in-
-its a cloudy day, the skies threatening to open at any second with hail? lighting? tornados? storm of frogs? who knows..-
Ol' Souphead underneath a jacked up 1970 ford fairlane pulling out the starter, testing it, seeing its ok, bolting it back in. Trying to jump start his car directly fromt he battery, sparks are flying, dangerous high voltage risk! To no avail.
-scene 2-
-the night draws to a close, our hero souphead is dejected and walks back to his home in a quiet and contemplative solitude, the day ends-

-scene 3-
-Ol' souphead is ready for another day! The sky is cloudy but its warm and breezy. He reaches for the phone, finally giving up and swallowing his backyard mechanical pride, and dials the tow company. This is a job for the garage.

-scene 4-
-Slurp tries to hog glory, bad monkey-
-end-
