All this talk of hamsters has brought back sad memorys for me and my competitive rodeo days.

Ah Ko-Ko-naut...poor sweet Ko-Ko-naut..

*sniff*

I miss that little racing rodent, that little squirrel had the heart of a bear.

Seriously, we had him surgically enhanced to race better, so we hired rodent heart specialists to exchange his ticker with that of a kodiak grizzley bear.

During the 1998 Squirrel Jamboree Lil' Ko-Ko-naut ran the greatest chuckwagon race ever!! In fact he set a record never to beat by any rodeo squirrel to this day..

Not only did Ko-Ko-naut have explosive "blow Chachi's off the line speed". On the day of that last race of his once he crossed that finish line he exploded!!!

Squirrel bits were all over the place..

too much power for that little frame to hold..Let that be a lesson to us all..

At night time when I am looking up at the stars I can sometimes hear his lilting tenor voice..

*sniff*
