The 42 short form is a combo of moves 1-37 and the last five form the 99. Chen Yun-ching and the head of the 99 Taiji association felt it might be good to have it as a teaching tool.

I recently competed with it here in Taiwan at the world cup:

It's a good form and i'd teach it to beginners before the 99.
