Hi Justin, Great question! Personally, I feel that the ability to do ANY form, CPL or otherwise on both sides is ALWAYS better because it tends to equalize muscular developement to say nothing of greatly improving coordination and confidence. Please keep in mind however, that a great many practitioners NEVER bother to learn both sides and still are able to reap all of the many benefits that T'ai Chi Ch'uan offers.
