"American smarties" sounds a lot like a tootsie roll. I never really cared for them. They are too sweet, chewy and stick to your teeth when you eat them.

The Smarties sounds good. I love M & M so I'm sure that I love them. I'll take your word for it that they are superior to M & M s. If I ever make a trip up to Canada I'll try some (and the tigbits) but will make sure not to vist Swiss Chalet.
