# 14 reminded me about recently learning that some acquaintances of mine pay over $400.00 out there each year to get registration for their car. We here in PA. pay $37.00

# 19 reminded me about the short time I lived in southern Virginia. Coming from the snow regions, a little snow in VA never alarmed me. But at the first sight of flurries, some of my local co-workers would take off early from work.
I quickly learned why: most didn't have snow tires & many didn't know how to drive carefully in snow.
