Subject: Just stopping by...

Just a quick stop. I wanted to let you know that my sister-in-law passed away a week ago today (September 6), at home, the way she wanted. The visitation was on Tuesday and the funeral was on Wednesday. My brother and his family are taking it day by day.

On Thursday, it was the last of the "firsts" before the first anniversary of my mom's passing...it was her birthday. I went out to the cemetary and put a flower on there that I had gotten at Mary's funeral the day before. I also left a Snickers bar on her headstone. (It was her favorite candy bar.) I also visited my dad's marker and left a York Peppermint patty there. I had mentioned to others that I was going to do that with the candy bars. On Thursday, before I went, I talked with my oldest brother. He said that he had a dream the night before, saying that he should do the same thing. He got to the cemetary before I did.

I also wanted to say that I did catch the premiere episode of "Happy Family". (Set the timer on the VCR.) I liked it more than I thought I would. I hope the show lasts.

I will be trying to catch Drew tomorrow night.
