Actually, I think there's a lot of poor research on the part of the both this writer and others for student newspapers.

The review in The Daily Campus (UConn Student Paper) for the UConn show left a bit to be desired. It really shows that there wasn't a lot of research done before writing it.

Had there been research done, the writer would have known it was not out of the ordinary for the performers themselves to introduce the games and get the audience volunteers. The author of this particular story felt that, "The act may have worked a little bit better if there had been a third member to help smooth out the transitions, and sort of direct the action from the side. "

It also mentions Colin working with Second City but names it as Chicago based. Although it did get its start in Second City, there is no mention that Colin was actually with Second City Toronto.

I particularly loved the part about Brad being less experienced. Yes, Brad may have been doing improv less time than Colin but when you get right down to it, Brad has been doing more two-man shows than Colin. They made Brad sound like a novice improver.

You can read the whole story at the Improv Genius Site (www.colinamochrie.com). It's also available in the October 6 edition of The Daily Campus (www.dailycampus.com). Although The Daily Campus is a free site, you'll have to register to access the stories.
