It IS much better than middle school, especially if you're going to a public school. It's more independent and makes you more responsible, because now you have to think, "Wow, my grades actually count towards college now."

I go to a parochial school, which can be compared to a low-risk-of-danger prison, to the point where the teachers run you down if they find you late for more than a minute or 2.

I hope you're not going to a Catholic school.. I might've scared you out of it. ;D
