In reply to: Huzlinefan 's message, "Huz's (probably refreshingly) brief new shows revyuz" on 07/11/03 7:36pm

I was at the Greg taping, and I thought I'd share some of the things I remember about the games that didn't make it into the broadcast.

LMAD: Greg's guessing about Ryan's quirk was longer in real life. I clearly remember Greg naming the various countries Ryan's accent visited while it attempted to find a home in Russia. Sweden was one of the countries Greg mentioned. Also, Greg had a big reaction to the length of the actual quirks when he heard them. All of the guys agreed with him. Ryan's comment was "Remember when it used to say 'a cow'?"

SS: No extra memories; just an editorial comment. Jane Tricker is even scarier when seen in TV close up.

SFAH: The little scenes for SFAH were extremely hard to remember after the taping. I do remember the state entry signs one. That segment was longer in real life than on the broadcast. The guys went to town with that one, Greg in particular. For a while, Greg just walked down the eastern seaboard with a saying for almost every east coast state (except my home state, rats!). Even during the taping, I realized that there was no way all of the sayings would be used.

PQ: If you were wondering what Wayne and Colin were doing on stage while Ryan and Greg were close to the camera, they were playing cards. When Greg went over to join Ryan, the other two looked at each other and wondered what they were going to do now that they were abandoned. Wayne mimed dealing cards. Then the two of them started playing some card game in character. For Wayne, that meant keeping a model pose. Meanwhile Colin used his raptor claws to hold his deck. It was very funny to watch and eventually they were generating more laughs than Ryan and Greg.

After the game, Drew razzed Greg a little about being slow to guess Colin's raptor quirk, saying something like Colin has been doing raptors for ages. Greg responded that Colin had *taught* the raptors how to be raptors. (Colin wasn't impressed with the comment. LOL) At the taping, I didn't pick up on what Greg said when Colin first stepped into the party ---- "Wayne, have you met Colin Mochrie? He thinks he's Colin Mochrie." ----- but I'm sure Greg was alluding to Colin's famous dinosaur impression.

Sportscasters: No extra memories.

Didya Notice?: This episode came from the same taping as the Halloween episode. You might remember that Drew gave out candy during the episode. At some time in the taping, Ryan put a lollipop upside in Colin's water glass. During one of the banter segments, I think it was the post Song Styles one, you can see the lollipop stick in Colin's glass.

Overall, the episode was a good one, IMO. A fair representation of what actually happened. I wish more of Greg's post games banter had made it to the show though.
