Subject: Comments on Kathy Griffin, Pirates, A Mighty Wind
In reply to: Quink 's message, "I saw Pirates..." on 07/14/03 11:49pm

We'll probably go see 'Pirates' this coming weekend. I expect it to be a lot of fun.

Entertainment Tonight did a story on Kathy Griffin's surgical procedures last week or the week before. As I remember, she had these things done over a few years: eye work, chemical skin treatment, liposuction, dental work (I think it was a surface application), hair straightening... I can't remember it all. A nose job too, I think. I thought she looked different in recent appearances here and there, but I wasn't sure what was different (except for her curly hair being straight). I thought it was brave of her to allow the camera to see her before, sans makeup, etc.

We saw "A Mighty Wind" and enjoyed it. I look forward to the DVD (esp since we JUST got a DVD player, finally catching up with the 21st century). My husband, a folk music fan, also liked the film, though he was more interested in the music rather than the comedy. I'm not sure if he saw any humor in the music.
