I hope that's not the case, but you may be right. It would be sad to lose WL just because the DCS ends. When I went to the Primetime weekend last year the live Whose Line shows were by far the most popular event of the entire weekend, so I can't see the show ending for a lack of interest. I think WL's two biggest problems are that when they were showing it regularly they were showing it too much and then with all the shuffling recenly no one can find it. It makes it hard to maintain a strong fan base when people can't find the show.
