Anways somebody explain >to me what a thestral is..all well well c ya l8er People think the creatures called 'Thestrals' were created by Ms. J.K. Rowling in her 'Harry Potter' series, when actually, they are not her creations. She merely used them. The true Thestrals are actually pets of a God of Death in an Anglo-type religion (Like Norse or British). They are black horse-like skeletons with glowing, pupil-less eyes and really big pointed teeth. They have Dragon-like wings and are unable to be seen unless the person looking at them has experienced death itself. They eat meat, the tame ones eating raw meat given to them, while wild ones hunt and eat their prey while they are still alive. Both tame and wild are attracted to the smell of fresh blood. Thestrals are Undead creatures, but unlike most Undead creatures, are uneffected by blessed silver or iron.
