In reply to: Niki 's message, "<->To The End.....And Back<->" on 20:33:18 08/24/03 Sun

*he nods, grabbing his sketch book, he takes a few inking pens and does a quick sketch. Despite that it took naught more than 5 minutes it was extraordinarily good. He was normally a piercer, but an artist lay deep within him. Turning the sketchbook around so the woman could see his work, he gives a little smile, rather proud of his work. He lays down the sketchbook, preparing all the needed instruments and colors. He glances over his shoulder* Is that what you wanted? *jerks his head, indicating the sketchbook*

Thin smile crosses her rosy lips. "Thats perfect. Thanks. Do you have any suggestions of where it should go?" It was an honest question, she knew what she wanted but not where she wanted it. She was open to pretty much anywhere. She was really impressed by the drawing, she had worked in a parlor much like this one for she too, was an artist. Maybe she would talk to the owner and see if there were any jobs available. She liked the atmosphere of the place.

"Thankyou. That will be fine. And, not that this really matters much but just how bad is this going to hurt?" It really didn't matter but she had dealt with much more emotional pain than physical.

*he sighs soightly and begins getting everything ready. He jerks his head to a large leather chair* Take off your shirt and llie down. *he turns back to his inking* Some people say it hurts like a bitch, others say not at all. It all depends upon your level of tolerance. I personally think it doesn't hurt when you are getting it done, but is a bit sore afterwards. *takes a silver tray and puts it next to the chair on a stand and draws up a seat* ready?

She pulls of her shirt and goes to the chair. A disatnt look crosses her eyes for a momen then she returns to herself. "Ready as I'll ever be. And, usually I can handle pain, if I can't, just knock me over the head and throw me out in the alley when you're done." she was only half joking. but, she was plenty accoustomed to pain.

*chuckles* its a deal. *goes int the back room to make a stencil. Comes back in a few minutes, presses the stencil onto the desired place, and applies KY jelly. Takes off th stencil* ok, look in the mirror. Is this where and how you want it? *after that is done, the male applies gloves and takes off the plastic sterile coverings to their respective items. Then after that - it was basically putting ink to skin. He wipes the shoulder frequently to free the skin of excess blood and ink, applying a thin layer of vasaline every so often. After about 2 hours of design he finishes up.* Alright m'dear, take a look in the mirror! *motions to a mirror on his left* Came out nicely if I do say so myself...*after she looks he applies some Bacitracin and a non-stick sterile bandage.* Ok - listen carefully : avoid infection by cleaning often, and clean your tattoo properly. Epithelial cells will form evenly to create a new layer of skin. In 4 to 6 days you may notice small spots of loose flakes of colored skin in the ointment around your tattoo. Don't worry 'cause this is normal. The early formed and damaged layer of skin is being shed by your body and begins to flake off at this point. This period lasts about 5 through 10 days. If your immune system is working properly, and you remain healthy, your skin should heal fully in about 30 days. Get it? *hands a pack of "tattoo goo - sterile ointment"*

"It came out great, you did such a good job. Thankyou so much." she let a truly heart felt smile cross her lips. The man had strangely put her in a better mood. "I think I can handle the healing part. It really didn't hurt having it put on. Oh, how much are you charging?" she had put on her shirt and started digging in her purse, trying to find her wallet, when she did she got it out and awaited his anwser.

"I will probably come back another time. I was really impressed with your work." she takes the pamphlet, smiles to the man, and walks out of the building, she would be back though.

*he waves after her, bidding her yet another farewell. As he turns to put the money away, a quote from Romeo and Juliet pops into his head: "good night, good night, a thousand times goodnight..."*
