Subject: Putting on my asbestos suit....I met Menucha, too...and it wasn't fun!...
In reply to: Cl-menucha -wannabe 's message, "Please join us over at the I MET MENUCHA BOARD!.....m" on 21:19:50 03/03/01 Sat

I had heard from hundreds of ivillagers how great it was to meet Menucha. So I tried it. And I was *not!* happy.

She picked me up in that tank of hers (2 hours late! She claims the roads were blocked and some kids were throwing things at her. A likely story.)

Menucha is cute and nice, but she is really "out there" (IF you know what I mean). She has all these "Beliefs" and stuff. We did not do any of that trumped up talking and laughing as so many other Menucha Visitors have claimed. I couldn't get a word in edgewise.

Anyway, we rode around in that cramped little hunk of metal as she insisted we shop around in some area called Al Ha Fahm. Man, those people are SO grumpy. What kind of service was THAT?

I kept telling Menucha I wanted to leave, but she kept going on and on about this was HER land (and even MY land...no way, baby!) and she "was free to shop, eat, and breastfeed" where ever she darn well pleased.

I was kind of impressed though... where ever Menucha walked those grumpy people just scattered! It was like the parting of the Red Sea or something! When they saw her they took off! (I think it was either the always-imminent breastfeeding or the fact that she kept asking everyone to hold her baby for just a sec.)

She then ordered me to follow her to some special place of one of our foremothers. It must have been pretty popular. You should have seen the crowds. Everyone pushing and shoving and jostling for position. Honestly, people have NO patience in this country! Even those soldiers were so bossy! Imagine some little 19 year old upstart telling ME I only had a few minutes there! It was awful. I had to rush and my hair got pretty mussed up, too.

Anyway, after this so-called tour she took me to her house. Oh my gosh. You wouldn't have believed it! All these little eyes just staring up at me. I begged her to take me to a Tel Aviv Beach at that point, but she refused.

I do not recommend the Menucha Visitation Tour at all! It is no fun, people are really mean, everyone yells at you and she makes you babysit at the end.
