Subject: Coldblood.

Coldblood.

Dressage.

A hand is on his wither, arched the noble crest,
Extended now in action, like floating in the air,
He dances like a feather, so muscular his chest.
So strong and yet so biddable for his rider fair.

How his liver chestnut coat just glistens in the sun,
How he stands so quiet when the exercise is done.

Cross Country.

Unhurried in his swiftness, he flies across the land,
Ears pricked and looking forward, so steady is his gait,
In stride he takes the water jump, landing on dry sand,
The cries of admiration come floating from the stand.

How his liver chestnut haunches ripple in the sun,
How his heavy sides are heaving when he’s had his run.
