It’s 8 o’ clock
And I’ve been sleeping all day
Wasted,
Flushed
Into the endless damp dream
Of oblivion
It seems forever
When you’re in this cold
Empty place
Not knowing what
And certainly,
Not knowing why.
I could even sleep for years
Sleeping my life away
Yet never getting any rest
Just begging for it.
Don’t feel like eating
N don’t feel like doing anything
I don’t shave
I don’t even bathe
I tell you
Even getting up to pee
Would be a tremendous effort
For weeks
I’d stay like this
Sometimes
It can even stretch for months
This is how it is
You see
Living inside me,
This is how it is
Living in this prison cell
That never gets bright
You don’t even get to see
The blue, blue sky
I mean why would I
Since it’s always raining acid
Hhhhhhaaaa
It’s dark now
Time is 8.26
And it’s been dark for quite some time
The sky is black
And all the stars have run & hide
And I say to myself
Damn
I missed the sun again
