Subject: she sipped up the last bit and retreating her book back into her bag, she stood and made her way into the kitchen. it was pretty cold out there, and every time the door had opened at work, she was freezing. it was the kind of cold that made you retreat to a blanket with seven layers of clothes on. she made her way back into the kitchen to fix another cup of hot chocolate. she noticed him and smiled a touch. "was it still freezing?" she said, assuming he had just came in.
In reply to: Nikolai Oliveri 's message, "The young cop was hardly pleased with the weather and the fact that he had been put on foot patrol that day. As far as he was concerned, he was much more suited for the bust-em-up, shoot-em-up type of police work, catching the real bad guys and arresting them, not just slapping people's wrists for jaywalking and littering. That was why they had by-law enforcement. RD's finest, in his opinion, should not be traipsing around in the freezing cold after punk kids. He let himself in, shaking the cold out of his scarf and jacket, toeing off his boots, and rubbing his hands together for warmth. He'd changed back at the station so was now plainclothes, but still freezing cold. Inspired by her hot chocolate, he made his way to the kitchen for his own." on Tue, Dec 21 2004, 5:30am PST
