He looked up - feeling a bit like he was being closed in on by a pair of glorious lionesses, but quirked a brow at first the girl who sat beside him and then the other. He was a bit of an oldie when compared to these two girls, he supposed - at 23, he'd already been in school a year and a half, and had spent some time between high school and university goofing off, writing songs, pretending that he could make it in the world off of music, but that was a silly thought.

Rubbing a hand through his dark hair, he peeked first at one girl and then the other, resting his hand atop his head for a moment before he finally spoke, his deep baritone rasping the silence like a toothed steak knife.

"Hello."

He didn't say it to anyone in particular, it seemed, but it was more speech to anyone who would answer.
