• She glanced up from where she was curked up on a couch, avoiding going home to the no doubt tape-full of answer phone messages from her mother. She did a double take when she saw him, despite being forwarned of his presence in the town. She raked her fingers through her hair self consciously and stood, following him through to the kitchen "Hey Gabe..." Her voice gave away those tingling nerves that bubbled under the surface, her tone soft and unsure.
