Testing My Wings


His view of the world had certainly changed with just this brief encounter with it. He looked like any other inhabitant of the town with his neatly styled hair, his forest green sweater over a pair of jeans, bright white new sneakers covering his feet, and that was exactly what he was trying to pull off. He just wanted to be like everyone else for a change. The only thing that distinguished him was nothing big, something you had to look to see. There was an innocence about him, a naiveity about the world seemed to cling to his person. His crystal blue eyes still held that hope and spark for life that was found quite often in a childs eye, like he was seeing everything for the first time. It was like he still held his high expectations because he had never experienced having them crushed. He ran a work calloused, tan hand over his hair while he took everything in, ready to experience everything that was thrown his way
