She settled against his warm side comfortable and rested her head back on his shoulder again. "Maddy said she'd watch Jordy again this evening for a bit." She knew he loved to spend time with his daughter, but especially right now it was nice to have a little bit of quiet - plus the girl often did so much with the toddler that it was no problem to get her to sleep when she got home.

He was a quick guy and often saw things that Mika didn't notice, for example, when Ryan was having such a hard time dealing with his feelings towards Stacie - he'd been the one to confront him. He knew Maddy didn't have a lot of close girl friends, but she had been spending the night somewhere an awful lot and he had a inkling of an idea on who it was.
