The season has come
The snowbirds are crowding the nights
The townies are tired of their beaches and bars
Being packed so tight


As of that afternoon, her midterms were over and so gone was the stress that she had spent the last couple weeks struggling with, and the rain had even decided to take a bit of a break, so this evening was shaping up to be not such a bad one. The air held that sharp wintery bite though, so she wore not only a long-sleeved white tee, but also a fitted strawberry-pink knit sweater over that, and faded denims that fit low and snugly to her hips, and was still rather chilly. Her fingers tucked into the front pockets of her jeans, she strolled her way slowly up the path towards the lodge - actually enjoying the walk for perhaps the first time, and for once getting the chance to admire the changing colors of the leaves on the trees and the well-kept sprawling lawns through the dim lights that lined the path. It seemed she was most often scurrying the distance to the cover of the porch to avoid getting soaked by the rains...
