you're such a strange girl
I think you come from another world
Jaya had voluntarily walked to the lodge in the rain, and even though the drops were heavy and hard she had truly enjoyed it. After all, it wasn’t very often that people took time to walk in the rain. Her black shirt with white writing clung to her skin that was flawed with goose bumps. She really hadn’t been expecting the weather to be so cold, and even though the bus was an option she had opted to walk. A walk through the rain was better then sitting beside a cold stranger in a awkwardly silent bus, not to mention the fact that there was always this odd guy by the bus stop outside of her apartment. As much as Jaya tried hard not to judge people by first impressions or outward appearances without getting to know them first, this guy gave her the creeps.
Her soaking wet running shoes were kicked off on the mat by door as she tugged up the black rain-heavy jeans that hung low on her hips. A shiver ran up her back, and the heated fireplace was a welcomed sight. Jaya bee lined towards the blazing heat source, leaving a trail of water behind her as she walked across the wood floor. A sigh of relief flooded through her slightly parted lips as the warmth bore into her soul, chasing away the shivers and ridding her pale skin of the goose bumps. Her hands finally rose after a long moment, brushing over her face with the intentions to rid it of the falling water droplets, the action however had minimal effect since her hands were also soaked with water. Next then moved to the back of her head, tugging the elastic out of her straggly looking hair and running her fingers through it’s deep auburn locks as she pulled it down and tucked it behind her ears.
It was seconds after then that she noticed him, her eyes turned towards his form with a slight interest and a friendly smile was posted on her bright features. “Hey, I’m Jaya” A damp hand was extended in the usual manner towards him once the statement had been completed.
