Four days holed up in the apartment and he still had only a blank screen to show for it. In some serious need of inspiration, he had finally decided that he wasn't going to find it inside, and so had headed out here - if he wasn't struck suddenly by something miraculous, at the very least he would get some fresh air and a change in scenary. He strolled slowly up the path towards the lodge, hands shoved in the pockets of his torn and tattered jeans, a kelly green long-sleeved tee fitted to his torso, and his messenger bag along for the ride as always. He was starting to get desperate - he was a novelist, not a journalist, and was getting sick of writing for the local newspaper - but still came off as cool and calm, perhaps a little distracted, on the otuside...

• She, herself was beginning to think that frustration was her middle name - she was working on her second week with no job bites - she wasn't used to the big boys playing fair. Her panty-hosed feet were padding their way into the kitchen, and she rummaged through the bottom drawers, looking for some sort of alcohol, something to curb her frustration. Retrieving something successfully, she meandered out of the kitchen so engrossed on reading the percentage of alcohol on the label that she smashed right into him, clocking herself in the chin with the neck of the bottle.
