He wasn't usually far behind Ivy - but he just lingered on the sidelines, in the background if he needed her. The two of them had always been close, but he knew he was bordering on insanely overprotective here. He couldn't help himself - he'd taken it upon himself to father his younger sister, since their parents had gone AWOL. Rubbing his tongue over his top teeth, he got a feel for where in the room that she was, and then headed off to find himself a newspaper. He often felt like an old man in a 23 year old's body - and now was no different. His broad torso was framed in a white tshirt, a pair of cargo shorts low on his narrow waist, his dark hair, as always, completely out of control. He sat himself down and cracked open the paper - things were so different here, even the way the news was reported, the focus shifted to negative stories and rarely anything good.
