• She came walking up not to much longer, smiling at the girls before she dropped to the stairs next to him. Wearing just torn and faded jeans, and a graphic tee with flip flops, she wasn't dressed for the oncoming weather nor did she look old enough to be the mother of a child who had started preschool that year.
