You're one step closer away


When he had left his apartment some forty or so minutes ago - the walk was longer than he had expected, not that he was moving at a hurried pace - the sun had been shining, though clouds were scattered and there was a definite chill to the air. Now as the sky was darkening and rain was beginning to threaten, he was still flip-flopping his way at a lazy stroll - mind a million miles away. He sported a casual look at the best of times, and he was looking especially rumpled today. The worn and torn - from actual use, not bought that way - denims that fit to his narrow hips and the white tee that outlined his toned torso were simply all that he had managed to dig out of a box in his still unorganized and unpacked bedroom. He was showered but unshaven and his hair was precisely mussed, a grey messenger bag slung over one shoulder and hands shoved into his pockets - slowly making his way down the path in the general direction of the lodge, completely oblivious to the world around him, as was often the norm for him and his wandering mind...
