Dark anger flares in his eyes, but is hurriedly supressed as his short temper sparks. Then his face is returned to it's immobile, cocky mask. "Damn, you have a pretty low opinion of me.." He says slowly, gaze levelling with hers. But then he shakes his head. "No, I am not doing this to get back at your sister. I never actually thought about that before.." He says, reaching out to stroke her cheek, his expression softening slightly. "Do you think I'd hurt you like that, mia bella?" he asks, supressing the fact that her question had hurt him some.
