Months ago, she had left without explanation and with very little notice, and was back now for no reason in particular - other than rent was cheap and the town was quiet, so she could catch a bit of a break from working and the hustle and bustle of the large cities she typically inhabited. Her appearance and style seemed to change from week-to-week, and she was currently sporting a simple cropped-above-her-shoulders hairstyle, very little make-up, and just a white racer-backed tank top and baggier coral cargo capris - a much more natural look than what she usually went for. For a few long moments as she finished off her smoke, she lingered in the driver's seat of her '71 Buick GS455 - the top down, of course - and then climbed out and shoved her keys into one pocket as she flip-flopped her back slowly up the path...
