Pretty pink lips pursed in thought to that, her head cocked to the side as she absently picked up her pencil and doodled on her notebook, there were lots of little drawings decorating it which spoke of her need to color or draw when she was thinking. It was important to her that she got her GED and such but it was also difficult because she had gotten taken out of school at such a young age - around twelve - due to her fathers 'business ventures' with her so she did spend a lot of time studying. Not only that but she was working full time because she wanted to help Rio with their savings, she knew he was saving to get them out of the house and into a place of their own and she wanted to help out as much as she could, not make him do it all on his own. With all that going on Lacey had kind of taken her place as cook and provider of the family and that kind of made her feel bad, she didn't want to neglect them because her life was busy, she especially didn't want to neglect Rio. "I know I've been really busy lately Rio, I'm sorry..." She murmured, her brow furrowed just a touch as she looked up him with those impossibly blue eyes. "I know I've been kinda neglecting you..." She hadn't been making him cookies or treats like she used too, there were some days that she wasn't even there when he got home from work and that wasn't fair to him because he worked really hard and most of it was put away for their future. He deserved to have his girlfriend home, making his meal and being there for him when he got home from a long day. Shaking her head, she forced all the negative thoughts away though she made a note to herself to think about later how she could be a better girlfriend and still get everything she needed to do done. At his comment, she looked up, watching Nina walk into the smoking section with Joey. "You wanna move over to the other section so you can smoke?" She questioned, she just sat here out of habit, it was the most comfy couch but she wanted him to be comfortable also and she knew he liked to smoke. She did too, on occasion but she wasn't addicted or anything, just liked to have one when she was drinking or everyone else was. If she had her choice of non smoking or smoking and she was on her own she would pick non usually. "They aren't predictable, I never would have guessed responsible Joey to be with fly by the seat of your almost to low pants Nina." She stated with a laugh before she shrugged. "Though, I don't think anyone would have guessed that bad ass Rio would be with sickly little Jackie either." She smirked a little, finally reaching forward for another cookie, her deep thoughts gone for the moment.
