Anna’s eyes flickered down to the book that was now tilted upwards in her direction. Her eyebrows seemed to raise- unable to hide the surprise that washed over her. It was the book she was least expecting him to be reading. And for a moment she wondered if it was all part of an act- you know, sitting there pretending to read the kind of books that were used in schools across the nation, while actually just trying to catch some girl’s attention. Her eyebrows seemed to draw back down slightly deeper than they had originally been- despite his kind comment. But once again she acted somewhat civil as he questioned her once again. “My grandfather was Russian, my Mother learned it from him and started me in after-school classes when I was young.” Anna loved speaking and reading Russian, sometimes she dreamed of moving to Russia- yet she had no clue what was holding her back. Her eyes flickered back down to the novel, pausing for a moment wonder whether to speak her mind or not. "you don't seem like the 'Jude the Obscure' type."
